Kathy and I arrived at the Inn at St. John's bridal suites where the girls were getting ready. The Inn at St. John's is a wedding photographer's dream. There's a lot of natural light in the suites where I can take beautiful bridal portraits. We took some fun bridal pictures of the girls in their robes (look at them lounging on the bed having fun!) and then Katie got in her dress. Katie came down by one of the windows and the light was spectacular. Katie was radiant! Portraits of the bride in natural light are always one of my favorite parts of the day, and this day was no different.
It was an unseasonably warm January afternoon, so we were able to go out in the garden by the waterfall and take amazing bridal portraits and beautiful bridesmaids pictures. Look at the sun backlighting Katie and her best friends! If you are thinking about having your wedding Inn at St. John's this is definitely something to look forward to!
From there we drove to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Farmington Hills for Katie and Jason's wedding ceremony. It's the church where Katie's parents and grandparents got married. I even got a few pictures of the book/register where her parents and grandparents' names are listed. Talk about special!
Then it was back to the Atrium at the Inn of St. John's to party the night away. What a party is was. Just about everyone at the wedding was out on the dance floor! The Atrium has a huge, tall, glass ceiling that lends itself to spectacular wedding photography.
My passport is ready to go and I'd be delighted to travel just about anywhere to photograph your wedding!
