I was excited for Alicia and Wesley's wedding at Masonic Temple for multiple reasons. Not only were they a fun, nice couple and I'd heard Masonic Temple was a great venue, the last time I was there I saw Pink Floyd back when I was in junior high school! How cool is that?
Alicia and Wesley's wedding was amazing. The ceremony was in a room from the time of the Masons. There was a lot of stone and there were ancient flags hanging from the sides. Alicia and Wesley looked so amazing there that it was like the place was built for them. It was a dream location for a Detroit Wedding Photographer!
The bridal getting ready suite is as nice as any I'd ever seen. It has huge windows, leather couches, dark paneled walls, and a piano! After the ceremony we must have spent more than 20 minutes in that room taking pictures of just Wesley and Alicia. Check out the pictures where Alicia is sitting on the piano looking at her new husband as he plays for her!
We then walked through the hallways and found very cool nooks and crannies in which to take bridal party pictures.
The reception ballroom at Masonic Temple is grand and stately, with a balcony going around the whole floor above it. Alicia and Wesley greeted their cheering guests from up above on that balcony to raucous cheering, and then came down for their grand entrance!
