When we arrived at Jackie's Mom's house Jackie greeted us with a beaming smile and huge hugs. After her Detroit engagement session with us she was so comfortable we did a lot of goofing around in her natural light bridal portraits. She was definitely hamming it up! Take a look!
We also took some pictures in her beautiful backyard with both her family and her bridesmaids. Her whole family was just so happy. Then we headed downtown to her church.
Sweetest Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Detroit is definitely one of my favorite Detroit churches. It's a cathedral rivaling many in Europe for its grandiosity and splendor. It was truly a special place for Jackie to get married. Her great-grandfather was a bricklayer who helped build the church more than a century ago. After the beautiful wedding mass (check out the concurrent pictures Kathy and I took of the first kiss; Kathy was in the balcony with a wide-angle lens and I was in the aisle with a telephoto), we drove to George George Park for some bridal party pictures. Then it was on to Penna's where everyone partied well into the evening. What an awesome wedding!
