Catherine got ready at her parents' house, just down the street from where I live. Kathy and I walked into a house filled with Catherine and her best friends' smiling faces. Who has a job better than mine, where everyone is happy and excited and filled with smiling emotion? The house was full of windows, so I was able to take the beautiful natural light window portraits I love to take.
It was great to see Catherine and Adriano again after their incredibly passionate engagement session. Adriano's family flew in from Brazil for the couple's big day, so their Temple Beth El wedding was truly an international affair.
Catherine and Adriano had their first look in the beautiful Temple Beth El courtyard. It was emotional, but nothing compared to the emotion as they read their vows to each other a few minutes later.
One of the first things I noticed while walking around the temple was there was a long-retired rabbi's bust on a stand who had the same last name as Catherine. It turns out it was her grandfather. I'm sure he was smiling from above as Catherine walked down the aisle.
Later that evening, the party began, and OMG, can those Brazilians party!
