It is awesome when the bride gets ready in the house she grew up in, and Natalie's wedding was no exception. It's always comfortable, and I don't think there's ever been a time when I couldn't find good window light. Natalie was radiant for her bridal portraits, and the girls had a great time just relaxing and hanging out together.
Then it was off to St. Lazarus Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, an amazingly beautiful structure and incredible for wedding photography. The priests there were as photographer friendly as any I'd ever experienced. I could go anywhere, even behind them. That allowed me to capture religious traditions that wouldn't be possible in most churches. I just had to be respectful of the ceremony (which of course I was!). Look at Natalie's crowning!
After the ceremony we headed to Glen Oaks Country Club for the reception. OMG, the tears were flowing and the smiles were enormous. I love capturing the emotion of weddings like this!
